Intrusive ads on Topic'it app

Post by Keltic » Mon Mar 19, 2018 11:06 am

Hi, Ive disabled ads on my forum for registered members but the app on android is bombarding users, I've personally seen full screen ads and multiple ads per post over the weekend. I understand the need to finance the app but this seems a bit extreme.

Forum is www.ancientrelicsclan.forumotion.co.uk

Hello,

Forumotion is a web-based forum service. Forumotion forums are accessible via a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE...) on desktop and mobile. Therefore, if you have paid to disable advertising on your forum on Forumotion, it should not display advertising on web browsers.

Topic'it and Forumotion are two different services. We understand your return regarding ads. Indeed, the app displays two types of ads:
  • An interstitial whose display is very limited: 1 time / 6 hours / user
  • 2 native ads on topics
Unfortunately, development and upgrade costs do not allow us to do otherwise if we want to keep a free model. Our goal is to minimize advertising display. So we dropped fixed advertising last month to display interstitial advertising in a very limited way.
